The Forest Park Fire Department has 23 fire personnel and a number of contracted paramedics. This includes one Chief, one Deputy Cheif, three Lieutenants and 18 full time Firefighters. The Forest Park Fire Department is a full-spectrum life safety agency protecting the thousands of people who live, work and play in our community. The Forest Park Fire Department’s uniformed personnel protect life, property and the environment through their direct involvement in fire prevention, firefighting, emergency medical care, technical rescue, hazardous materials mitigation, disaster response, public education and community service. Uniformed Firefighters and Firefighter/Paramedics are always on duty.

- Car Seat Inspections: The Forest Park Fire Department recently sent five of its firefighters to be certified as Child Passenger Safety Technicians. These technicians can assist with and educate caregivers on the proper installation of car seats for infants and children. Please call 708-366-1234 (Press 3 to speak to on-duty personnel) to schedule your appointment, as there may not be a technician on-duty. You will need to bring your vehicle owner’s manual, the car seat’s manufacturers manual along with the seat you wish to be inspected/installed. Also, if able, please bring the child for the car seat so the seat may be properly adjusted
