Forest Park has a very rich and old history dating back to the first settlers in 1856 when its boundaries included parts of River Forest and Oak Park. However, it wasn’t until 1907 that Forest Park was officially incorporated. Over the past one hundred and fifty years, many interesting events and influential people have come and gone. Most historical data has been cataloged and can be found through the Historical Society of Forest Park.
