Departments

The Village consists of seven distinct offices to serve its residents and business community. With over 250 full and part-time employees, the village strives to ensure the community’s needs are met. From the Police Department’s proactive routine patrol of our streets to senior events held at the Community Center, the Village of Forest Park is committed to preserving its neighborhood while embracing its future.

Administrator

The Village consists of seven distinct offices to serve its residents and business community. With over 250 full and part-time employees, the village strives to ensure the community’s needs are met. From the Police Department’s proactive routine patrol of our streets to senior events held at the Community Center, the Village of Forest Park is committed to preserving its neighborhood while embracing its future.

Clerk

The Village Clerk is the official keeper of the records for the Village and maintains a complete and accurate record of Council proceedings; processes follow-up documentation for action taken at those meetings; and certifies copies of official Village records.

Community Center

The Howard Mohr Community Center, named for the late State Senator and Forest Park Mayor, is owned and operated by the Village.

Fire

The Forest Park Fire Department has 23 fire personnel and a number of contracted paramedics. This includes one Chief, one Captain, three Lieutenants and 17 full time Firefighters.

Health & Safety

The Department of Public Health and Safety incorporates two key components of the Village; the Building Department and the Code Enforcement Department.

Police

The Forest Park Police Department’s Communications Division’s goal is to provide an efficient and reliable “Customer Service Orientated” environment.

Public Works

The Forest Park Public Works Division is comprised of two departments, the Department of Streets and Public Improvements and the Department of Public Property.
