The Department of Public Health and Safety incorporates two key components of the Village; the Building Department and the Code Enforcement Department. Inspectors are available to investigate violations and to ensure existing and new construction, both residential and commercial, are in compliance. The Village contracts with the Cook County Department of Public Health for inspections on local businesses.
